Course Description
The paralegal profession is one of the fastest growing professions with many Legal Assistants now being employed by private law firms, corporate legal departments, insurance companies, real estate firms and some banks.
Paralegals typically assist attorneys in the delivery of legal services including:
- Conducting client interviews
- Interviewing witnesses
- Statistical research
- Drafting legal documents
- Attending the execution of wills
- Real estate closings
- Depositions
- Attending court, hearings and trials with the attorney
Taught by certified lawyers, this diploma program is designed to prepare the student for all aspects of providing paralegal support for various job requirements of the profession in the Bahamian legal system
